there’s no test you need to pass or license u need to hold to trans your gender - you can just decide one day that u feel like doing something different. if ur waiting for permission, i’m giving u permission. go be happy.
For my transition, the idea “I would be happier living my life as a man” was far more helpful to my journey than the question “am I truly a man in my very soul” or whatever. It doesn’t have to be that deep. Your body is yours. Do with it what you want. Be who you want to be. Less pressure on “who you were made to be” as if that is some kind of immutable force. If you think that way you’ll never stop questioning yourself.

Y’all this is a great video to study to observe the body language of a very happy but also very excited cat. Lots of people see videos of excited cats doing things like climb rock climbing walls or get on small boats and think they are angry or scared, when they aren’t. Here’s a good example of happy excitement and tension in a cat where the cat’s pleasure is easy to see. The cat’s tail is lashing and its ears are going backward and forward like crazy, but the cat is not angry, it is merely off its shits because snow is just incredible. This is a wildly playful cat which might play-attack a hand or other animal because it is so excited, but not out of anger. Note the zoomies at the end to burn off some of that energy!
Think about it. When we humans do something fun and very physical, our bodies are often tense, at the ready, and a lot of our body language does look kind of aggressive or even scared. Cats are the same! Animals at play or investigating new things often show some tension, but tension is not the same as anger or fear!
one of the things that got me hooked on coding was how you can trick yourself into talking like an insane person really easily while doing it. like nodes in the software i use can be parents or children of other nodes, and i had to do some extra steps before deleting nodes that the queue_free() command didnt do automatically so i made my own command called explode() to delete nodes and was pondering how to do something and said “well, what do we do about all the unexploded children?” out loud and immediately stopped to go get a tasty drink and walked straight to bed
